Key Information:

Boxing Queensland are running two separate concurrent competitions during the North Queensland Games. Please read the below information carefully. The two competitions are:

QLD Under 19s State Titles, and
North Queensland Games Boxing

Please read the detailed information in the subheading menu for each competition. You will need to follow similar, but separate processes for each. You will need to register on BOTH portals for each event.

Register for the North Queensland Games Boxing competition if you are interested in competing in a boxing competition

Registrations CLOSE Tuesday 14/04/2026!

You will require the following information to register on the Boxing Queensland Portal:

Age
Age Division competing in
Gender
Experience (D: 0-1 bouts, C: 2-5 bouts, B: 6-12 bouts, A: 13-20 bouts, Open: 20+ bouts)
Weight Division you will be boxing in

Note: You will only require Boxing history information on the Boxing Queensland Portal not the Play HQ Portal.

Game/Competition Details:

This event is open to BOXING QUEENSLAND registered BOXERS ONLY.
You can nominate for both the NQ games and State Titles events as BQ will be running daily challenge bouts for those that want more than 1 bout over the 4 days of competition. BQ will organise the program so those that draw straight finals for the state titles compete on day 1 or 2, so they get the opportunity to compete in the NQ Games competition.

To participate in NQ Games for Boxing, you need to register on two separate portals:

NQ Games Registration portal (Play HQ - $79 - first 3000 receive free bag & hat)
Boxing Queensland Portal (Link will be provided via email once Play HQ registration is received)

2026 Boxing QLD U19 School Age state Titles

Information for competitors in the QLD U19 State Titles

Boxing Queensland is running the NQ Games in conjunction with the U19's School Age State titles.
All registrations for U19's State Titles will be managed through the Boxing Queensland Portal. Note: This portal can only be used by athletes competing in the U19's State Titles.
Should an athlete entered in the State Titles wish to be considered for the NQ Games Challenge Bouts, they are required to register in the Play HQ portal and pay the $79 Games Fee.
The NQ Games will give boxers the opportunity to have more than one fight should they be knocked out of the State Titles in the early stages/days.
Boxing Queensland will organise the program so those that draw straight finals for the state titles compete on day 1 or 2, so they get the opportunity to compete in the NQ Games competition.

YOU WILL NOT BE EXTENDED THE OPPORTUNITY TO COMPETE IN A CHALLENGE BOUT unless you register for the North Queensland Games event.

Have your coach/camp register you for the Boxing Queensland State Titles on their Web Portal for $40.
Enter the NQ Games Portal (hosted by Play HQ) and register for the NQ Games
1. Select the appropriate dropdown for State Titles Competitors
2. Pay $79 on this portal - providing access to Challenge Bouts as well as free competitor kit including Hat & Bag
3. You can use an existing log in for Play HQ if you have one (ie. cricket, afl competitor) or you can create a new profile in 2 minutes.

You have until April 14th 2026 to register for the North Queensland Games. Failure to register will mean an inability to compete in a 'Challenge Bout' should you be eliminated from State Title contention. You will also not be able to collect your free North Queensland Games merchandise.

Qld U19 SCHOOL AGE state titles

State titles is open to U19, U17, U15, U13 & U11yrs
State titles registration will run through the BQ events page.

Boxers * competition Headguards must be approved * All athletes in the U17 & U19 age divisions must have a current serolory report.

COACHES - Will be provided an official coaches accreditation PASS, this must be on display at all times (entry into the event, entry into the athlete warm up area, entry into the field of play)

This event is open to BOXING QUEENSLAND registered BOXERS ONLY

FEMALE Boxers - Will be required to complete a non pregnancy form, this form will be available at weigh in.

All weight classes will be in accordance with World boxing divisions.

Male YOUTH U19 - 47-50kg, 55kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 85kg, 90kg, 90kg+

Female YOUTH U19 - 45-48kg, 51kg, 54kg, 57kg, 60kg, 65kg, 70kg, 75kg, 80kg, 80kg+

U17/U15/U13/U11 & 10yr WEIGHT DIVISIONS, MALE & FEMALE, as per the below chart

When nominating please nominate in your weight category, not your actual weight ie; if you are youth, male & weigh 71.4kg you are in the 75kg weight division. You must weigh in on or under your nominated weight division.

To Register for the North Queensland Games

Enter the NQ Games Portal (hosted by Play HQ) and register for the NQ Games
1. Select the appropriate dropdown for the NQ Games.
2. Pay $79 on this portal - providing access to Challenge Bouts as well as free competitor kit including Hat & Bag
3. You can use an existing log in for Play HQ if you have one (ie. cricket, afl competitor) or you can create a new profile in 2 minutes.
An email will be sent to you from North Queensland Sports Foundation with a link to register on the Boxing Queensland Portal. You will need to provide the relevant information to be matched for a fight on the portal.

You will require the following information to register on the Boxing Queensland Portal:

All participants across the North Queensland Games incur a $39 Games Fee - with the first 3000 registrants receiving a registration pack with a free bag and North Queensland Games cap.

Boxing charges:

$40 to cover the costs associated with running the event.
