PEAK^ partners with 2026 North Queensland Games to support athlete performance and wellbeing

The North Queensland Games have announced a new partnership with PEAK^ (peak.app), the performance and wellbeing platform founded by North Queensland Olympian and Heptathlete Tori West, ahead of the 2026 North Queensland Games to be held in Mackay from 1-4 May.

The partnership will see PEAK work alongside Games organisers to champion athlete preparation, recovery and holistic performance across the region – supporting both emerging and established competitors as they prepare to compete across a wide range of sports.

Developed by athletes and sports scientists, PEAK helps athletes understand how training, recovery, sleep and wellbeing interact, by translating complex data into simple, actionable insights to support sustainable performance. The collaboration reflects both partners’ commitments to building stronger sporting pathways and leaving a meaningful legacy for athletes and communities across North Queensland.

North Queensland Sports Foundation CEO Alexander J. Fisher said the partnership highlights the strength of locally led high-performance initiatives and the power of sport to connect communities.

“We’re working with Tori and PEAK to bring elite experience and practical athlete support to the heart of North Queensland. I’m proud to continue our decade-long relationship with Tori to inspire competitors of all ages and abilities in her former backyard, and to help create an environment where athletes can thrive.”

An Olympian and one of Australia’s most respected multi-event athletes, Tori West has always been an advocate for athlete wellbeing and sustainable high performance. Through PEAK, she has channeled her journey to, and experience on, the world stage into a platform designed to help athletes train smarter, reduce injury risk, and build confidence in their preparation.

West said the partnership is about giving athletes – particularly those in regional communities – access to the same tools and support systems typically reserved for elite programs.

“The North Queensland Games played a huge role in my own journey, so it’s incredibly special to partner with the event through PEAK. Our goal is to empower athletes with the knowledge and tools to understand their bodies, train with intent and enjoy their sport, whether chasing a top-3 finish or simply showing up to compete.”

Through the partnership, PEAK will support athlete education initiatives, share practical performance insights and work with The Games’ organisers to promote a culture of healthy preparation leading into the event.

The 2026 North Queensland Games are expected to bring together thousands of athletes, officials and spectators from across the region, celebrating participation, community spirit and sporting excellence.
